Mini Zombie Survival Guide

"What place would you choose for a zombie apocalypse or in case of an emergency."(Voytek) The best place for someone to survive is your home. Remodeling a couple of things could make you a zombie proof home."Work your head off to keep you head on."(Voytek)

"Zombies are quite the unexpected disaster to happen."(Voytek) The zombies have effects on them that give us humans some advatages. Lost of memory, not able to move quick, can't communicate, distracted easily, and don't feel any pain. Expert Bradley Voytek has attempted on mimicking a group of zombies and was successful. Therefore effects on zombies aren't really helping them.

"Keeping you vase in place is one of the keys of doing so."(Voytek) Your home is the best place to be. Putting up bricks or some hard material that will keep it safe from zombies entering. Putting up a 6ft fence if possible around your is also a great idea .To get food is also the next source you will focus on. Plant a vegetable garden in backyard if possible. Won't run out on something eatable. Although you bed more to keep alive.

"What weapon of choice do you prefer?"(Melena) Obtaining a weapon would be risky when this act would happen. If you were smart enough you would probably have a weapon already. The effect on then that they can't feel any pain gives them the advantage -.- The head is the key for an instant death. That's why my weapon of choose would be a katana. " A sword is the key for a zombie attack."(Voytek)

Your home is the best out of all other places and more suitable. The area is more known and you can make a escape plan. Keeping it your way is the best."I'd sacrifice for the people I love, I'd keep the gun instead of trusting someone to take care of you and hand them the gun."(Melena)

Literature Analysis #2

1) When Katniss and Peeta won the 74th Hunger Games. They thought they had it all, until they realized that they were in love. Both were chosen to compete in the next hunger games. She finds a way on destroying the arena. Paralyzed temporary, she wakes up being taken to district 13 with the others. They informed her that it was against the rules to do such a thing like that. After all when it comes down to the end they tell her that district 12 where her family is from has been destroyed.

2) The theme of this novel would be survival, love, and trust.

3) Got interested on reading the first book and was like why not read the second one . :)

4) Yes, found it realistic because you could have it all but that doesn't make you not human.

5) Tone would be intense because a lot more smarter ideas came out and there is more foreshadowing.

6) The mocking jay, berries, wedding dress, ring, sword, the arena, clock, district 12, birds flying, and fire .

8) Mainly focuses on Katniss and Peeta the main two characters in the book. Uses a lot of flashback and foreshadowing.

9) More round because it could see that all there actions were all composed together at the end due to the bombing at district 12.

10) Somewhat but no, because they live in a government controlled bases and they all do as one says even though the government still keeps stuff from us.

11) When Katniss thought she had it all then it takes the things she loves the most.. Her district and her family, Relate able act that scars her life for her life time .

Task Two : Know Your Zombies

In Bradley Voytek's guide entitles how to survive zombie invasion using science, he suggests some fast and easy tips that are useful. The author supports his claim by pointing out why zombies are that way and what's the effects on them. The author next proceeds to show that you should use your head , to keep you head. Finally the author argues for key ideas that explain the side affects that degrade zombies, but increase the humans.

Task One: Survival Basics.

In Ali Khan's prepareness 101 entitles Zombie Apocalypse he states that we should be prepared for a zombie invasion. The author supports his claim by saying that it's going to happen if not then useful for emergency. The author next proceeds to show that " when zombies are hungry they will do anything." Finally the author argues will you do nothing when this happens or will you rather be prepared.

Argumentative Essay

I am writing this essay to disagree with your opinion sir Johan Bennett. Persepolis buy Marjane Satrapi is a great graphic novel. I don't see why this book should be banned from school grounds.
I could see why you think it should be. It contains crass language, graphic violence, torture, sexual content, lewd humor, and an instance of suicide. I truly believe that every 10th grade student should read this book. We live in a generation were mostly everyone knows this domestic violence. This book shows the reader that it's possible for anyone to achieve there goal. You just have to go and get it. Persepolis talks about freedom in America but in Iran freedom isn't even a word. Believe it or not everyone has a dark side in them. This generation is so outrageous that young children know all about the sexual life. Once you enter high school you are considered a young adult right ? Therefore I believe that we are mature enough to just read a book. Persepolis is a good book! It truly dose make you see thing different. Such like how you should be thankful you are living in America and not anywhere else!
I want to conclude that Persepolis is a award winning novel. I believe that English teachers should teach more about this book.
Also that Persepolis should not be eliminated form the schools libraries. I would like to restate Persepolis is a good book! To continue with Persepolis in our libraries.

     Sincerely,
      Martin Melena

LITERATURE ANALYSIS #1

Summary -

"The Hunger Games", in which each year a boy and a girl of the ages from 12-18 are taken from every district are taken from it's people and all are forced to fight to the death. The winner receives fame, fortune, and a place to live forever without working, but the're still screwed up for life. Katniss Everdeen, from District 12, lives with her sister and mother, illegally hunting in the woods to support them both. Soon then her 12 year old sister is chosen to be in the next Hunger Games. She is horrified and nervous . S
he volenteers in place of her sister to fight in the games. The boy who is chosen is Peeta Mellark, who long ago, on a rainy night when she was starving and had failed to bring food for her family, gave her a piece of bread, keeping her, and in turn, her family from death. What she doesn't know is that Peeta is in love with her. Soon they are thrown into interviews on live T.V. and Peeta confesses his love for her on the live broadcast. They are soon thrown into the arena and fight they're way through the games. However, when almost everyone is dead, it is announced that 2 people can win as long as they're from the same district. Soon it is down to Katniss and Peeta. Neither want to kill each other, so Katniss suggests that they double suicide. This scares the hosts of the games, as they wouldn't have a victor is that happened, so it is allowed that they both win.

Theme -

The theme in The Hunger Games is survival, and keeping your humanity as you try to survive. Katniss and Peeta must survive the games of course, but they also must survive their daily lives in the district. The capitol has made life very difficult for those living in the districts. To survive the lack of food and necessary equipment requires great strength of spirit.

Authors tone-

The authors tone is sad. She is trying to give the people who are reading a different kind of perspective . The people of Panem are living poorly and are starving. The Capitol of Panem is a group of people who control the districts of Panem. The Hunger Games is a game to watch innocent kids die, for no reason. In the story Katniss puts flowers around Rue because she wanted to tell the Capitol that all of the tributes are not just a piece in their games. If a person presses three fingers onto his lips and points them to the sky, that is a salute. When the time of Rue's death, Katniss covers Rue's body with flowers and presses three fingers onto his lips and points them to the sky. She salutes District 11 for their loss of Rue.

Symbols -

1 ) The mocking jay represents defiance in the hunger games. Mocking jays become a link between Katniss and Rue, with the two using the birds to communicate. When Katniss later sees mockingjays, they remind her of Rue, makes her hate the capital even more .

2) When Rue dies, Katniss decorates her body with flowers as a means the memory of Rue, but also to undefined the Capitol.

3 ) The dresses Katniss wears is not just and ordinary dress , also come to symbolize her spirit.

4 )  Panem is the country in which The Hunger Games takes place, and it symbolizes a dystopian United State.

5) The mocking J also symbolizes the death of Rue and to go against the capital .

Antigone Essay

In thIs story Antigone and Creon have many differences. Antigone is a very loyal person to the people she loves. Otherwise Creon is not nice after all. He is the only loyal to the state. He is also the king of the Thebes. Antigone shows her loyalty because in (scene 2 , line 69) she says "I wIll bury the brother I love." She wants to bury her brother no matter what the situation is. She will sacrifice her life if she has to. Nothing will stop her on what she has to do with the people she loves. In the other hand Creon is not loyal to his family. In (scene 2, line 128) he says "He made war on his county, Eteocles defended it." He is not loyal to his family because his son Haimom doesn't think the way he dose. Haimon doesn't know the whole situation. He could be thinking differently then Creon. Maybe he thinks he's crazy or something. Antigone's pride is not lying to people. In (scene 11, line 59) she says " I do , I deny nothing." She is not a lier to anyone. She's straight out , speaks the truth. If you know that she is lying about something she will not deny it. Creons pride is negative. In (scene 11, line 133) he says " An enemy is and enemy, even in death." Dose not care if polonaises was his nephew. Most likely saw him as a traitor or an enemy. Creon stopped carrying about him when he waged the was on the Thebes. Finally after I have shown examples you can actually see how one is positive and one is negative. Antigone and Creon may be enemy's but nothing will change them on how they see things, not like anyone else.
